OLBIA
In the heart of Gallura
The city of Olbia was built in a very good location in the northeastern side of the coast. It is the principale access point to the island and the business driver of the district of Gallura, thanks to the Isola Bianca Port and the Costa Smeralda international airport, where every year more than 3 million tourists reach the island.
The history of this flourishing city by the sea can be admired in its city centre with old churches and several naval relics that are now exhibited in the Museum of the Sea, famous for having the shape of a ship with round windows and suspended gangways.
Olbia is very appreciated for its shopping streets and craft markets that embellish the main street, Corso Umberto I, and for the well-known nightclubs and restaurants, where it’s possibile to savour the typical food of the tradition of Gallura made of fish and meat.
